... and how do you detect them?

In almost any industry, any item that is well-received will have a ton of positive reviews and love from their buyers. In the poker industry, this might not be the case. As the games get tougher by the days, it is understandable why someone would remain silent regarding a book's quality if it is good, especially if they took a risk and paid a decent clip for it. After all, why encourage others to buy the product when it lowers your edge relative to the field. Thus, silence should be a huge factor when deciding whether a book is good or not. We have sold a decent amount of NLHE and PLO books, if our quality isn't top-notch, we would hear it by now.
