A Propositional Bet

Some people PM me and asked why they should buy the book when they can use the same amount of money for personal coaching to improve the game. The only answer I can give them is for the same amount, there is no way I can teach them everything that is in the book. A few readers actually told me that they have had a few good coaches in the past and they only learn about 10% of what the book offers. Obviously, 10% is an exaggeration on their part, though I appreciate the love.

I'm willing to bet a decent sum of money [probably in the 15k-20k range] that the book has a higher success rate of turning a 400nl grinder 1.5-2ptbb/100 into a 400nl crusher than a personal coach who charges the same amount. One way we can do it let the 400nl grinder takes lessons with the coach. After the lessons, he can read the book to see if there is any information he is missing. For fairness, we would have another 400nl grinder read the book, then gets personal coaching from the same teacher to see how much new information he can acquire.

If the bet goes down, we would have to work out additional logistics to make sure everything is fair game. If anyone has a better idea, feel free to email/pm me.

For the clever ones, asking top coaches who charges $500+/hr to reduce their hourly rates isn't fair game. Neither is asking a top 5 winner at 400nl 12-tabling and he doesn't want to move up because he cannot handle the swings.

Good luck at the games.
